Hey everyone

I am a new daddy.  Oscar Xavier Diaz was born on January 5 at 4:20 p.m.  He weighed 8 lbs 12 oz and 21 in long.  He was a c-section baby. Mommy and Xavier are fine.  Daddy is freaking out!!!!! Here are some pics for you that want to see him.

I hope everyone has started school well and moved into their dorms smoothly.  Thanks Victor for the B-day remembrance and good luck in Notre Dame.  I bet it is a whole different world out there. 

Quick update on the summer.  The wife is doing fine with our unborn son. Yup that's right, ITS GONNA BE A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Hell YA!!!  Now I have to buy a lot of soccer shit.  Hopefully I can upload some pictures of her soon.  As for the Doctorate, if all goes well, it should take one more year to go then I am outta here. 

Well good luck to everybody starting their new colleges and also good luck to the high schoolers starting a new year.

Hello everyone

I hope everybody had a good year.  Congrats to all the graduates!!!! Good Luck!!!  Well it finally happened.......IM GONNA BE A DADDY!!!!  HOLY SHIT!!!!!!  Mrs. Diaz is 6 wks into it so I hope everything come out ok. 

Other than that summer school starts up again on June 1.  I just want to get it out of the way.  Well anyway, I hope everyone has a great summer and I am curious to know where you Seniors or College Freshman are going next year for college.

Well what can I say.  You guys did it.  You pulled together and did it together.  I wish I was their to tell you in person....... CONGRATS!!!!!!!  Your directors did an awesome job preparing you.  I called your directors and congratulated them.  Also congrats on all the college acceptances that I keep reading about.

Well as for me......everything is hectic.  Performances here and there and everywhere.  The Tbone choir is going to Brazil this summer, yeah baby!!!!!  I am preparing for a chamber recital that I am giving in the summer.  It is the first one of four that I have to do.  Grades are good and I am having fun.  Although I can't wait for all this shit to be over with.  I need to make money again!!!!! But........I have to make sacrifices in order to do what I want to achieve.

Well upon many requests, I will update.  Well a lot has happened since my last update.  All I can say is getting a Doctorate is pretty intense.  The coursework is a lot and the performing aspect of it is incredibly intense.  I have played at TMEA this year with the UT Wind Ensemble and it went well.  I have performed in numerous Master Classes with bad ass performers.

Teaching at TAMUK has been fun, but the drive sux.  So to kill 3 1/2 hours of driving, I have been listening to audiobooks.  I just finished the Harry Potter series.  It was the shit!!! Other than that, just the same ol same ol.  Mrs. Diaz is doing well.  She has been nominated as Special Education Teacher of the Year for the district. I hope she gets it!! 

I heard you guys did real well at the UISD Festival.  I wish I could have heard you guys.  I do miss you guys and I still think about the good times I used to have with everybody.  I miss my GIRLS!!!!  You know who you are.

Well thats about it from this end.  If you guys are ever in Austin, don't hesitate to call.  We can do lunch or something.
